Abstract:

The roundtable addressed similarities and differences in the two systems pertaining to trial by jury, civil law “dossier”, plea bargaining, accelerated disposition of cases, the “motivated” decision, the right to introduce new evidence at the first appellate level, and the right of the prosecution to appeal.
